What’s New In Version 3.0
1/11/2009 - We are proud to announce the release of version
3.0 of our electrical estimating software. Version 3.0 builds on
the foundation of version 2.1 and adds the ability to create
and manage purchase orders. All together there are over 25
enhancements.
Purchase Orders
In version 3.0 Best Estimate is moving beyond doing just
electrical estimating. The major new feature in this release is
Purchase Orders. Purchase orders can be created from
scratch or directly from an existing electrical estimate. It is
possible to create and fax a purchase order in under one
minute.
Netbook Ready
With the growing popularity of Netbooks we decided it was
time to officially support estimating on them. Version 3.0 is
fully tested and supported on any Netbook with a screen
resolution of 1024x600 or higher.
Improved Performance
We’ve worked hard to make this version of Best Estimate
faster than ever before. The application will start up and work
quickly even with thousands of estimates. Speed is increased
and memory usage is reduced, making estimating fast on
even on low end systems.
UI Enhancements
We added over 15 usability enhancements to the application.
Additional address information was added to the company
and Estimates. Several changes were made to help clarify the
difference between the company templates and the estimate
during estimating.
